3-Hydroxy-4-methoxycinnamaldehyde (compound 2) is a cinnamaldehyde from the stem bark of Flemingia paniculata Wall. 3-Hydroxy-4-methoxycinnamaldehyde exhibits antibacterial (both Gram-positive and Gram-negative) and antifungal activities (MIC = 12.5-50 μg/mL) . 3-Hydroxy-4-methoxycinnamaldehyde can be used for microbial infections research[1].
