4- (Dimethylamino) phenol hydrochloride is a potent cyanide antidote. 4- (Dimethylamino) phenol hydrochloride binds to hemoglobin, and form methemoglobin. 4- (Dimethylamino) phenol hydrochloride can be used in cyanide poisoning research[1].
