AK5 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 586 amino acids (1-562 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 65.9kDa.AK5 is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Adenylate kinase isoenzyme 5 (AK5) belongs to the adenylate kinase family, which is involved in regulating the adenine nucleotide composition within a cell by catalyzing the reversible transfer of phosphate groups among adenine nucleotides. AK5 is related to the UMP/CMP kinase of several species. AK5 is located in the cytosol and expressed exclusively in the brain.

Greater than 85% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

AK5 protein solution (0.25mg/mL) containing 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH8.0), 20% glycerol and 1mM DTT.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
