Altertoxine III

Altertoxin III is a mutagen that is mutagenic to Salmonella typhimurium TA98, TA100, and TA1537. Altertoxin III can be obtained from the extract of the A. alternata isolate that shows a mutagenic response in the Ames Salmonella typhimurium assay[1].
