May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 °C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. The rat peptide sequence is 100% conserved in human Nogo-C/foocen-S. Most of this region is unique to Nogo-C and not conserved in Nogo-A/B isoforms. Antibody crossreactivity of NogoC31 in various species is not established. Control peptides, because of their low MW (<3kD), are not suitable for Western. It should be used for ELISA or antibody blocking to confirm antibody specificity
