NEMF is responsible for selective recognition of stalled 60S subunits by recognizing an exposed, nascent chain-conjugated tRNA moiety. NEMF is important for the stable association of LTN1 to the complex (PubMed:25578875) . May indirectly play a role in nuclear export (PubMed:16103875) . .
