Synaptojanin-2-binding protein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SYNJ2BP gene. SYNJ2BP, also known as Synaptojanin 2 Binding Protein, is a protein that interacts with synaptojanin 2, a phosphoinositide phosphatase found in synaptic vesicles. Synaptojanin 2 plays a crucial role in neurotransmitter release and synaptic transmission in neurons, and SYNJ2BP is implicated in regulating these processes through its interaction with synaptojanin 2.
