BCY17901 is a potent irreversible inhibitor of transferrin receptor 1 (TfR1) with a Ki of 12 nM. It impedes TfR1-mediated endocytosis and iron transport, thereby inhibiting the proliferation of tumor cells dependent on iron metabolism. BCY17901 is suitable for research in solid tumors such as breast cancer and glioblastoma, as well as neurodegenerative diseases.
