BEND6 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 302 amino acids (1-279 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 33.6kDa.BEND6 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. BEN domain-containing protein 6 (BEND6) is a neural BEN-solo factor which shares many functional attributes with Drosophila Insensitive, a co-repressor for the Drosophila CSL factor. The BEND6 protein binds the mammalian CSL protein CBF1 and antagonizes Notch-dependent target activation. Furthermore, its association with Notch- and CBF1-regulated enhancers is stimulated by CBF1 and antagonized by activated Notch. In utero electroporation experiments demonstrated that ectopic BEND6 impeded Notch-mediated self-renewal of neocortical neural stem cells and promoted neurogenesis.

Greater than 90.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

BEND6 protein solution (1mg/mL) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH8.0), 10% glycerol and 0.1M NaCl.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
