BlasTaqTM HotStart 2X PCR MasterMix is a ready-to-use PCR solution containing BlasTaqTM HotStart DNA Polymerase formulated in an optimized buffer that includes gel loading dye. This engineered Taq polymerase is designed for rapid extension, strong robustness, and improved performance. It incorporates a proprietary antibody that inhibits polymerase activity at low temperatures, enabling true HotStart functionality. This allows reaction setup at room temperature while minimizing non-specific amplification and primer-dimer formation. During the initial denaturation step, the antibody is released, activating the enzyme and ensuring higher specificity, improved yield, and cleaner PCR products. Compared to conventional Taq polymerase, BlasTaqTM HotStart delivers up to 70% faster reactions with enhanced processivity and sensitivity. It produces 3’-dA overhangs, making PCR products compatible with TA cloning vectors.
