BRD2 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Bromodomain Containing 2, also known as BRD2 is a transcriptional regulator which is a member of the BET, bromodomains and extra terminal domain, family of roteins. BRD2 links with transcription complexes and it acetylated chromatin in the course of mitosis, and it selectively binds o the acetylated lysine-12 residue of histone H4 through its two romodomains. BRD2 maps to the major histocompatability complex MHC) class II region on chromosome 6p21.3, however sequence comparison advocate that the protein is not implicated in the immune response. BRD2 has been implicated in juvenile myoclonic epilepsy, a common form of epilepsy which grows to be visible in adolescence.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
