It is measured by cell proliferation assay using Balb/3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblast cells.BTC is a potent mitogen for retinal pigment epithelial cells and vascular smooth muscle cells. The effects of betacellulin are mediated by the EGF receptor and other related receptors.BTC Human Recombinant produced in HEK293 cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain (32-111 a.a) containing 86 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 9.8kDa.BTC is fused to a 6 amino acid His-tag at C-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

BTC protein (0.25mg/mL) contains 10% glycerol and Phosphate-Buffered Saline (pH 7.4) .

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks.Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
