Initiation of each pathway generates proteolytic enzyme complexes which binds to the target surface. C1s and MASP in these complexes activate both C4 and C2. They cleave a peptide bond in C4 depositing C4b on the surface and also cleave C2 into 2 fragments.Human Complement C2 produced in Human plasma having a molecular mass of 93 kDa.

C2 Human is stable at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks.Store, frozen below -20°C for longer periods of time.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
