The immunogen is a synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human CETP

CETP involved in the transfer of insoluble cholesteryl esters in the reverse transport of cholesterol. Defects in CETP are a cause of hyperalphalipoproteinemia.Cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP) transfers cholesteryl esters between lipoproteins.
