Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) p62 is a structural polyprotein precursor that undergoes furin-mediated cleavage to generate the E3 and E2 glycoproteins. This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus. The protein has a calculated MW of 90.6 kDa. The protein migrates as 85-95 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.
