D-galactonic acid calcium is a CxaP ligand, with a Kd value of 6.6 µM for wild-type CxaP. D-galactonic acid calcium forms complexes with tungsten (VI) . D-galactonic acid calcium can be used in the research of nutrient uptake[1][2].
