DERA produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 279 amino acids (1-259 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 29.9kDa.DERA is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Deoxyribose-phosphate aldolase (DERA) is a member of the deoC/fbaB aldolase protein family involved in the carbohydrate degradation pathway. DERA catalyzes the conversion of 2-deoxy-D-ribose 5-phosphate to D-glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate and an acetyldehyde.

The DERA solution (1mg/mL) 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 10% glycerol and 2mM DTT.

DERA should be stored desiccated below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) . Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
