Exendin 4 (Biotin)

Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Recognizes Exendin-4. No cross-reactivity with GLP-1, GLP-2 (human) or glucagon coated on ELISA wells. There is full reaction with exendin-4 (9-39) when used as coat in ELISA showing an epitope in the 9-39 region. Binds to exendin-4 when coated on ELISA wells and reacts specifically with exendin-4 in solution giving a Ka of 1.1x10E9 in an inhibition ELISA. The binding between this product and exendin-4 is disrupted by 4.5M MgCl2.
