Folate receptor alpha (FOLR1) is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) -anchored membrane protein that transports folate (vitamin B9) into cells. FOLR1 is overexpressed in multiple cancers such as cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, breast cancer, and brain carcinomas, and FOLR1 overexpression is associated with poor patient prognosis and increased cancer progression. The overexpression of FOLR1 in a variety of cancerous tissues makes it a valuable target for drug development. There are currently multiple drugs in clinical trials that target FOLR1.

This anti-FOLR1 (Folate receptor alpha) antibody is a purified monospecific recombinant antibody, which is labeled with R-Phycoerythrin (PE) . This antibody has been tested by flow cytometry for binding to Human FOLR1 on the surface of FOLR1 CHO Cell Line (BPS Bioscience #78360) .FluoSite™is a tag-based method for site-specific conjugation of antibodies with fluorophores, ensuring the labeling site is far from the antigen-binding domain to preserve antibody functionality. This precise, consistent labeling ensures the homogeneity of the labeled antibody preparation, making it ideal for flow cytometry and other high-sensitivity applications.

This antibody recognizes human FOLR1. It has not been tested in other species.

PE is an oligomeric protein complex (270 kDa) from red algae that exhibits intensely bright red-orange fluorescence with excitation peak at 566 nm and an emission peak at 574 nm. The complex consists of six heterodimers, α subunit (18 kDa) and β-subunit (20 kDa), and an additional γ-subunit (34 kDa) .

Useful for studying the expression of human FOLR1 on the cell surface by flow cytometry.
