In contrast to other Nectins, which are found extensively in adult tissues, Nectin4 is abundant during fetal development but declines in adult life. Its expression, however, returns specifically in lung, breast, pancreas and ovarian cancers. It was shown that Nectin4 can modulate the expression of epithelial–mesenchymal transition related proteins via the PI3K (phosphoinositide 3-kinase) /AKT (protein kinase B) pathway. In addition, the recent study demonstrated that Nectin4 is a cancer specific TIGIT (T cell immunoreceptor with Ig and ITIM domains) ligand, and its expression is also associated with poor prognostic features, suggesting it could be an efficient target for cancer immunotherapy.

This anti-Nectin4 is a purified monospecific recombinant antibody, which is labeled with fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) . This antibody has been tested by flow cytometry for binding to human Nectin4 on the surface of Nectin4 CHO Cell Line (High) (BPS Bioscience #78097-H) .FluoSite™is a tag-based method for site-specific conjugation of antibodies with fluorophores, ensuring the labeling site is far from the antigen-binding domain to preserve antibody functionality. This precise, consistent labeling ensures the homogeneity of the labeled antibody preparation, making it ideal for flow cytometry and other high-sensitivity applications.

This antibody recognizes human Nectin4. It has not been tested in other species.

Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) is a derivative of fluorescein and has an excitation and emission spectrum peak wavelengths of approximately 495 nm and 519 nm, causing it to fluoresce green.

Useful for studying expression of human Nectin4 on the cell surface by flow cytometry.
