The immunogen is a synthetic peptide directed towards the C terminal region of human TSG101

TSG101 belongs to a group of apparently inactive homologs of ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes. TSG101 contains a coiled-coil domain that interacts with stathmin, a cytosolic phosphoprotein implicated in tumorigenesis. TSG101 may play a role in cell growth and differentiation and act as a negative growth regulator. In vitro steady-state expression of TSG101 appears to be important for maintenance of genomic stability and cell cycle regulation. Mutations and alternative splicing in TSG101 gene occur in high frequency in breast cancer. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to a group of apparently inactive homologs of ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes. The protein may play a role in cell growth and differentiation and act as a negative growth regulator. All conjugated antibodies should be stored in light-protected vials or covered with a light protecting material (i.e. aluminum foil) . Conjugated antibodies are stable for at least 12 months at 4C. If longer storage is desired (24 months), conjugates may be diluted with up to 50% glycerol and stored at -20C to -80C. Freezing and thawing conjugated antibodies will compromise enzyme activity as well as antibody binding.
