His-Tag (6-Histidine)
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degree C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20 degree C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Recognizes His-Tag (6-Histidine). Detects over-expressed proteins containing the 6X His epitope tag. Reacts with all His-tagged proteins so far tested. In Western Blot of bacterial extracts the antibody does not crossreact with endogenous proteins. Recognizes the His-tag (His-His-His-His-His-His) fused to either the amino- or carboxy-termini of targeted proteins in transfected or transformed cells.
