PGP9. 5/UCH-L1 is a member of a gene family whose products hydrolyze small C-terminal adducts of ubiquitin to generate the ubiquitin monomer. PGP9. 5 is a component of the ubiquitin system, which has a fundamental role in regulating various biological activities. PGP9. 5 gene encodes two opposing enzymatic activities that affect alpha-synuclein degradation and Parkinson's disease susceptibility.

The antibody has been tested by ELISA, Western blot, ICC/IF and IHC analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results.

The cell and tissue lysates (40ug) were resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to PVDF membrane and probed with anti-human PGP9.5 antibody (1:1000) . Paraffin embedded sections of human nerve tissue were incubated with anti-human PGP9.5 (1:100) for 2 hours at room temperature. Antigen retrieval was performed in 0.1M sodium citrate buffer and detected using Diaminobenzidine (DAB) .

ICC/IF analysis of PGP9.5 in U87MG cells. The cell was stained with APG0714 (1:100) . The secondary antibody (green) was used Alexa Fluor 488. DAPI was stained the cell nucleus (blue) .
