The encoded protein displays a strong antiangiogenic function and is regulated by chemokine (C-X-C motif) receptor 3. This protein also impairs tumor growth and can protect against blood-retinal barrier breakdown in diabetes patients. Molecular Characterization: mass of 34.4 kDa after removal of the signal peptide. Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4. Normally 5 % - 8% trehalose is added as protectants before lyophilization.
