Kininogens are inhibitors of thiol proteases. HMW-kininogen plays an important role in blood coagulation by helping to position optimally prekallikrein and factor XI next to factor XII; HMW-kininogen inhibits the thrombin- and plasmin-induced aggregation of thrombocytes. LMW-kininogen inhibits the aggregation of thrombocytes. LMW-kininogen is in contrast to HMW-kininogen not involved in blood clotting. [UniProt]

Optimal dilution of the KNG1 antibody should be determined by the researcher.

IHC staining of FFPE human liver tissue with KNG1 antibody (clone KNG1/7422) . Inset: PBS used in place of primary Ab (secondary Ab negative control) . HIER: boil tissue sections in pH 9 10mM Tris with 1mM EDTA for 20 min and allow to cool before testing.
