Human. No cross reactivity with other human cytokines. Cross reacts with feline and canine IL-12 p40.
The assay recognizes both natural and recombinant human IL-12p40/p70. To define the specificity of this ELISA several proteins were tested for cross reactivity. There was no cross reactivity observed for any protein tested: IL-1alpha, IL-1beta, IL-10, IL-2, IFNgamma, IL-4, IL-6, TNFalpha, IL-8 and IL-13. The assay will also recognize the p40 when in heterodimer with the p35 protein (IL-12p70) or with the p19 protein (IL-23).
