The immunogen is a synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human PLIN

PLIN coats lipid storage droplets in adipocytes, thereby protecting them until they can be broken down by hormone-sensitive lipase. Freezing and thawing conjugated antibodies will compromise enzyme activity as well as antibody binding.
