MIA belongs to the MIA/OTOR family and contains 1 SH3 domain. This protein elicits growth inhibition on melanoma cells in vitro as well as some other neuroectodermal tumors, including gliomas. Recombinant human MIA protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli
