Recombinant Humaan Mitochondriaal Ribosomaal Proteïne S2

MRPS2 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 319 amino acids (1-296) and having a molecular mass of 35.6 kDa.MRPS2 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Mammalian mitochondrial ribosomal proteins are encoded by nuclear genes and help in protein synthesis within the mitochondrion. Mitochondrial ribosomes (mitoribosomes) consist of a small 28S subunit and a large 39S subunit and have about 75% protein to rRNA composition compared to prokaryotic ribosomes, where this ratio is reversed. Mitochondrial Ribosomal Protein S2 (MRPS2) is a 28S subunit protein which is a part of the ribosomal protein S2 family and comprises a 12S rRNA and about 30 distinct proteins.

Greater than 85.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

The MRPS2 solution (1mg/mL) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) and 10% glycerol.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
