RPS5 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 227 amino acids (1-204 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 25.3kDa.RPS5 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. 40S ribosomal protein S5 (RPS5) is a ribosomal protein, which is a member of the ribosomal protein S7P family.Ribosomes, which are the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, composed of a small subunit and a large subunit that comprise of over 80 distinct ribosomal proteins. RPS5 is a 204 amino acid component of the 40S complex. RPS5 proteins exist as multiple processed pseudogenes which are scattered throughout the genome. RPS5 is expressed at varying amounts in colorectal cancer cells, proposing a possible role in carconigenesis.

RPS5 protein solution (0.25mg/mL) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer, (pH 8.0), 0.2M NaCl, 50% glycerol and 2mM DTT.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
