Recombinant Human RAB2A, Member RAS Onogene Family

RAB2A produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 236 amino acids (1-212 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 26.1kDa.RAB2A is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Ras-related protein Rab-2A (RAB2A) is a member of the small GTPase superfamily. RAB protein family members are nontransforming monomeric GTP-binding proteins of the Ras superfamily, which contain four highly conserved regions involved in GTP binding and hydrolysis. In addition, RAB proteins are a fundamental part of endocytic pathways. RAB2A and RAB2B are essential for protein transport from the ER to the Golgi; RAB2A is lipid-anchored to the ER-Golgi intermediate compartment membrane whereas RAB2B is lipid anchored to the cytoplasmic side of the cell membrane. RAB2A also interacts with GOLGA2.

RAB2A protein solution (0.5mg/mL) containing 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 1mM DTT, 20% glycerol and 100mM NaCl.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
