SERTAD2 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 337 amino acids (1-314) and having a molecular mass of 36.3 kDa.SERTAD2 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. SERTA domain containing 2 (SERTAD2) takes part at E2F-responsive promoters to integrate signals which are given by PHD- and bromodomain-containing transcription factors. The SERTAD2 protein is taking part in modulating fat storage by down-regulating the expression of key genes which take part in thermogenesis, adipocyte lipolysis and oxidative metabolism.

Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

The SERTAD2 solution (0.25mg/mL) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.15M NaCl, 10% glycerol and 1mM DTT.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
