Recombinant Human SET

Source : Escherichia Coli. SET Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 313 amino acids (1-290) and having a molecular mass of 35.9kDa. SET is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. SET is part of a complex localized to the endoplasmic reticulum however is found in the nucleus. SET inhibits apoptosis following attack by cytotoxic T lymphocytes and can also enhance DNA replication of the adenovirus genome. SET inhibits acetylation of nucleosomes, particularly histone H4, by histone acetylases (HAT) . This inhibition is accomplished by masking histone lysines from being acetylated.

Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

The SET solution (0.5mg/mL) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.15M NaCl, 20% glycerol and 1mM DTT.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
