Source : Escherichia Coli. SOX2 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 208 amino acids (1-200 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 23.1kDa. SOX2 protein is fused to an 8 amino acid His-Tag at C-terminus and purified by standard chromatography. SOX2 is a transcription factor that forms a trimeric complex with OCT4 on DNA and controls the expression of a number of genes involved in embryonic development such as YES1, FGF4, UTF1 and ZFP206. SOX4 is important for early embryogenesis and for embryonic stem cell pluripotency.

The SOX2 solution contains 20mM Tris-HCl pH-8, 2mM DTT, 0.2M NaCl & 40% glycerol.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
