SERPINC1 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 455 amino acids (33-464 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 51.4kDa. SERPINC1 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Serpin Peptidase Inhibitor, Clade C Member 1 (SERPINC1), which is a part of the serpin superfamily, is a plasma protease inhibitor. SERPINC1 inhibits thrombin and other activated serine proteases of the coagulation system, and regulates the blood coagulation cascade. SERPINC1 also inhibits Thrombin and Factors IXa, Xa and XIa. The inhibitory activity of SERPINC1 is significantly enhanced in the presence of heparin. Deficiencies in SERPINC1 can cause ATIII deficiency, an autosomal dominant disease which might lead to a hereditary thrombophilia.

Greater than 85.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

SERPINC1 protein solution (0.5mg/mL) containing 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.4M Urea and 10% glycerol.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
