Recombinante muis Guanine deaminase/GDA-eiwit

Gda, also known as guanine deaminase, catalyzes the hydrolytic deamination of guanine, producing xanthine and ammonia. Studies in rat ortholog suggest this gene plays a role in microtubule assembly. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Recombinant mouse Gda, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by conventional chromatography techniques.

Specific activity is > 4,000 pmol/min/ug, and is defined as the amount of enzyme that convert guanine to xanthine per minute at pH 8.0 at 37C.
