Source: CHO cells.Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.R-Spondin-1 (Rspo1) is a part of the Rspondin family. Rspo1 plays a role as an activator of the canonical Wnt signaling pathway by acting as a ligand for LGR4-6 receptors. Rspo1 induces the onset of crypt cell proliferation and increases intestinal epithelial healing effect. Rspo1 is negatively regulating the TGF-beta pathway.R-Spondin-1 Human Recombinant produced in CHO cells is a glycosylated monomer chain containing 233 amino acids and having a total molecular mass of 25.6kDa. RSPO1 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Functional Assay

Greater than 95.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

The protein was lyophilized from a sterile (0.2μm) filtered solution containing PBS.It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized RSPO1in sterile 18M Omega -cm H2O not less than 100μg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Lyophilized RSPO1 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution RSPO1 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

The ED50, as calculated by the Luciferase induction in HEK-293 STF cells in the presence of Murine Wnt-3a is 24.7ng/ml corresponding to a specific activity of 4.0 x 10^4 units/mg.
