SARS Spike Mosaic S (M) Proteïne

Source : The E.Coli derived 38 kDa recombinant mosaic protein contains the middle section of the Spike protein 408-470, 540-573 amino acids immunodominant regions. SARS Coronavirus is an enveloped virus containing three outer structural proteins, namely the membrane (M), envelope (E), and spike (S) proteins. Spike (S) -glycoprotein of the virus interacts with a cellular receptor and mediates membrane fusion to allow viral entry into susceptible target cells. Accordingly, S-protein plays an important role in virus infection cycle and is the primary target of neutralizing antibodies.

SARS Mosaic protein is >95% pure as determined by 10% PAGE (Coomassie staining) .

25mM Tris-HCl, 0.4% sarcosyl, 0.25% Triton -100 and 50% glycerol.
