SARS Spike Proteïne (14-667)

Source:HEK293. SARS Coronavirus is an enveloped virus containing three outer structural proteins, namely the membrane (M), envelope (E), and spike (S) proteins. Spike (S) -glycoprotein of the virus interacts with a cellular receptor and mediates membrane fusion to allow viral entry into susceptible target cells. Accordingly, S-protein plays an important role in virus infection cycle and is the primary target of neutralizing antibodies.

Protein is >95% pure as determined SDS-PAGE.

SARS Spike S1 glycoprotein is lyophilized from 1x PBS pH-7.4 + 5% trehalose.

SARS Spike S1 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution SARS Spike protein should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) . Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

The HEK293 derived recombinant protein contains the SARS Coronavirus Spike S1 Gycoprotein, amino acids 14-667 fused to His tag at C-terminal.
