The immunogen is a synthetic peptide directed towards the middle region of human SDR-O

SDR-O displays weak conversion of all-trans-retinal to all-trans-retinol in the presence of NADH. Has apparently no steroid dehydrogenase activity.

Freezing and thawing conjugated antibodies will compromise enzyme activity as well as antibody binding.
