Tos-PEG3-methyl ester is a PEG linker containing a toluenesulfonyl group and a methyl ester segment. The toluenesulfonyl group serves as an excellent leaving group in nucleophilic substitution reactions. The hydrophilic PEG linker enhances the compound's water solubility. The methyl ester can undergo hydrolysis under strongly basic conditions.
