May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 °C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Specific for Hsc70 under both native and denaturing conditions. Detects a ~73kD protein, corresponding to the apparent molecular mass of Hsc70 on SDS-PAGE immunoblots. Species Crossreactivity: human, monkey, mouse, hamster, guinea pig, rat, rabbit, bovine, sheep, porcine, canine and chicken. Will not react with Hsc70 ATPase fragment or Hsp70.
