Il1b is primarily produced by macrophages and other immune cells following recognition of pathogens or cellular damage. Once activated, Il1b initiates a cascade of signaling events that result in the expression of additional cytokines, chemokines, and adhesion molecules, thereby amplifying the inflammatory response. In zebrafish, Il1b is expressed early during immune challenge and is a key marker of immune system activation. Il1b is also involved in the regulation of hematopoiesis, fever, and wound healing. Its expression is tightly controlled at both the transcriptional and posttranslational levels to ensure a balanced immune response. Disruption or overactivation of Il1b can lead to excessive inflammation and tissue damage. Due to its evolutionary conservation and well defined function, zebrafish Il1b is widely used in studies of inflammation, infection, immune system development, and inflammatory disease models. It serves as a valuable tool for drug screening and for investigating the molecular pathways that regulate cytokine signaling in vertebrates.

After reconstitution, the Zebrafish Il-1 beta antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4°C. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
0.5 mg/mL if reconstituted with 0.2ml sterile DI water
Optimal dilution of the Zebrafish Il-1 beta antibody should be determined by the researcher.
