Zebrafish Star is an ortholog of the human STAR protein, with strong sequence and functional conservation across vertebrates. As in humans, zebrafish Star plays a vital role in maintaining proper hormone synthesis and reproductive health. Disruption of Star function can lead to impaired steroidogenesis and developmental abnormalities, making it an important focus for research on endocrine system regulation. The use of a Zebrafish Star antibody allows scientists to study the expression and localization of Star in various tissues during development and under experimental conditions. Such antibodies are valuable for applications like western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence, providing insights into how Star activity influences hormone production. A Zebrafish Star antibody is also useful for investigating the effects of environmental stressors or chemical modulators on steroid biosynthesis. There are no reported isoforms of zebrafish Star.
