Description

Wezlana (Ustekinumab-auub) is a biosimilar to Stelera. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved Wezlana (ustekinumab-auub) as a biosimilar to and interchangeable with Stelara (ustekinumab) for multiple inflammatory diseases. Ustekinumab is a fully human IgG1 monoclonal antibody that binds with specificity to the shared p40 protein subunit of human cytokines interleukin IL-12 and IL-23, which are involved in immune and inflammatory responses. IL-12 and IL-23 are produced by activated antigen-presenting cells as secreted heterodimeric cytokines that bind to receptor complexes in natural killer cells and T cells. Ustekinumab can effectively neutralizing both human IL-12 (Th1) -mediated and IL-23 (Th17) -mediated cellular responses.

Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4. Normally 5 % - 8% trehalose is added as protectants before lyophilization. Reconstitute in sterile water.

Storage Conditions

Store at -20°C to -80°C for 12 months in lyophilized form. After reconstitution, if not intended for use within a month, aliquot and store at -80°C (Avoid repeated freezing and thawing) . Lyophilized antibodies are shipped at ambient temperature.
