FGF17 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 219 amino acids (23-216 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 25.2kDa.FGF17 is fused to a 25 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Fibroblast Growth Factor 17 (FGF17) belongs to the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members have broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in various biological processes including embryonic development cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth and invasion. The FGF17 gene is highly expressed in the cerebellum and cortex. The mouse homolog of the FGF17 gene is localized to specific sites in the midline structures of the forebrain, the midbrain-hindbrain junction, developing skeleton and developing arteries, suggesting a role in central nervous system, bone and vascular development.

FGF17 protein solution (1mg/mL) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.4M urea and 10% glycerol.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
